Apple released the second update to iOS 11 on Tuesday morning.
iOS 11.0.1 was released last Monday with a fix for sending emails with Outlook/Exchange accounts. Although Apple didn’t provide a changelog for that update, one was provided for iOS 11.0.2. You can read about everything that changed in the what’s new section below.
If you happen to be running the iOS 11.1 beta, then you won’t see today’s update. Because of the beta software currently installed on your device, you will have to manually downgrade to iOS 11.0.2 if you want to install it.
iOS 11.0.2 includes bug fixes and improvements for your iPhone or iPad. This update:
- Fixes an issue where crackling sounds may occur during calls for a small number of iPhone 8 and 8 Plus devices
- Addresses an issue that could cause some photos to become hidden
- Fixes an issue where attachments in S/MIME encrypted emails would not open
